In the heart of the animal kingdom
Set near Royan and the beaches of Charente-Maritime, La Palmyre Zoo invites you to meet more than 1600 mammals, birds and reptiles of 110 different species. Among them about 30 species of primates, of which the impressive gorillas and orangutans.
Other iconic animals await you: Asian elephants, white rhinoceros, pink flamingos, lions, gibbons, cheetahs, Northern timber wolves, zebras, hippos, giant otters, Nile crocodiles, giant tortoises…Not forgetting our well-known giraffes and many more!
