Originally from Asia and domesticated for several thousands of years, goats are very widespread on most continents.
In Africa, Domestic Goats are raised for their milk, meat and hide. They are able to find food on even the sparsest grazing lands as they are very agile and can climb onto trees in order to eat the leaves.
