IUCN REDLIST status
Male Egyptian Geese can be aggressive during the breeding season. Their courtship displays are noisy and extremely lively.
Couples generally build their nest near water and a source of food (cultivated fields, prairies), either on the ground or in a tree. Only females incubate the eggs.
It’s not easy to distinguish male and female Egyptian Geese, but their cries are slightly different: males have a hoarse whistle whereas female cries are more like cackles.
