Endangered Lemur Twins born at the zoo!
Our pair of Black lemurs recently gave birth to twins. These are not only the first offspring for this female, but also a first for us, marking our first birth of black lemurs since the species' arrival at the end of 2025.

Our group of Central African chimpanzees recently welcomed a new baby with the birth of Flor's first infant. Flor is 15-year-old and had joined our troop at the end of 2023.
Exceptional birth of two Amur tigers!
This birth marks a significant milestone for the zoo, as it is the very first litter for our pair who arrived last year, and also the first successful breeding in our brand new tiger exhibit.
Birth of a giraffe
On Thursday, March 12th, our 6-year-old female giraffe, Riva, gave birth to a calf. Born after a gestation period of approximately 15 months, the calf, a female, is doing well and has been named Justine.
Supporting the Dietary Transition of Our Chimpanzees
At La Palmyre Zoo, our great apes now benefit from a diet composed primarily of vegetables. The reason? To reduce sugar intake and, above all, increase fiber, in accordance with current nutritional recommendations for these species.
