La Palmyre Zoo, a place of wonder!

Nestled at the heart of an 18-hectares pine forest, the Zoo de La Palmyre is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Charente-Maritime. Every year some 600,000 visitors follow its pathways in order to observe more than 1,600 mammals, birds and reptiles from 110 different species.

Zoo open all year round (bank holiday included): 9:00am to 7:00pm from April to September and 9:00am to 6:00pm from October to March.
Last entry is 2h before closing time

In 2026, the Zoo de La Palmyre celebrates its 60th anniversary!
To celebrate this event, discover our exclusive Annual Anniversary Pass, which includes:
- unlimited access to the zoo for one year,
- a 10% discount at the gift shop,
- an immersive experience within the park (except in July and August): 45 minutes of sharing, discovery and emotion led by a passionate guide.

The standard Annual Pass, offering unlimited access to the zoo for one year, is also still available.
