Dinner's ready!

Our cats are fed alternatively with chicken carcasses or beef meat (bones, ribs or steaks). Twice a week, food amount is reduced in order to prevent obesity problems and facilitate returns into the buildings each evening for security reasons (except for the lynxes who stay outside all year round and are fasted two days a week).

Success for the Gorilla Cup 2015!

Being involved alongside the Ebo Forest Research Project (Cameroon) since 2013, La Palmyre Zoo has again decided to support their annual football tournament whose main objective is to mobilize the local communities, and specially young people, around the conservation of wildlife and gorillas, during the school holiday period.

A new female gorilla has arrived!

Maïsha, a 7 1/2-years-old female western lowland gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla), has just arrived at La Palmyre Zoo. She was born in Beauval in 2008 and transferred to La Palmyre following a recommendation of the EEP. She has joined our group that includes one silverback, two females and a young male.
